Children Summer Reading 


The young children ranging from babies to preschoolers will fall under the Earth category.  Thier symbol will be the one to the left here.   The earth readers will be using the same board as the the other children (air) along with also sharing the same programs.  All program shows will be at 1:30pm here at the library.

Local Heroes Day

Come to the library during the program to see our local heros, we plan on having firemen, police officers, emergency medical technicians, and maybe more.  Who knows what they may bring with them to show everyone.

Tom Sparough is a juggler, storyteller, writer, and facilitator. He is known to hundreds of thousands of people as the Space Painter, which comes from a description of juggling that Tom received from a two-year-old child.

Reading Rules


Children will receive a chart to keep track of time read and a bag to keep books organized.


Children are responsible for keeping track of their reading time and their charts. (parents can help in this category)


Charts must be shown when requesting stamps for time read and to receive tickets for prizes.


Children are to read 15 minutes a day, 6 days each week for a total of 720 minutes over the 8 weeks of the program.


Lost charts will be replaced with a black and white copy and only get credit for the weeks done after receiving the new chart.

Versailles School District Challenge

The Challenge for K- 4th graders, who want to expand their reading abilities.  There will be extra items on their reading logs to complete.  When the 8 challenges are completed and initialed by a librarian, they will receive a certificate.  The certificate will be taken to school in August for a gift from Worch library and the school library  as a congratulations for completing the challenge.
