Local Roots Seed Library
Local Roots Seed Library is a free, community sustained seed sharing program offered through Worch Memorial Public Library. The goal of the Seed Library is to develop and preserve varieties of vegetables, flowers, and herbs that are adapted to our region, and to promote community members’ abilities to grow and eat wholesome, locally grown food.
Community members are encouraged to come to the library to ‘check out’ seed, take them home and plant them in their gardens, flower beds, containers, etc.
Applications are available for community members who are interested in having their own plot in the library’s community garden located behind the library.
